Donation of Warehouse or Storage Facility Space

The cost of paying for storage is one of our larger expenses. We need to have a safe, dry and accessible space to store books. It is not uncommon for the Roads to Reading Initiative to have more books on hand than are needed at any given time.

Having a safe and dry space to store donated books is a critical part of our operations. It is important to have a place to store planned and unexpected donations of books. Our book donation average about 2,500 books per donation and it is crucial to have safe and dry place where our inventory can be organized and accessible as needed. Like any business or personal assets it is important that we keep it safe so that it can be used for its intended purpose.

We are in need of storage space averaging 15’x 15’. It is preferable if the storage facility has a loading dock for our larger shipments. We are always looking for donated space in the greater Boston area. Areas easily accessible to our Boston office would include: Waltham, Medford, Arlington, Everett, Somerville, Quincy, Cambridge and all areas of the City of Boston.

If your company has space you would like to donate, please contact the Executive Director, Kathryn Jenkins at (617)515-7084 or e-mail: director@pwirtr.org
